100% designed and manufactured in North-America, The Threat4TM System's, designed by Xacore, starting point as far as design was the requirements of the Tactical Communication and Protective Systems (TCAPS) initiative under Soldier Modernization / Program Executive Office Soldier (PM SWAR) and this starting point was then expanded to meet other military and tactical requirements worldwide.

TCAPS objective is to provide tactical communications headsets with integrated hearing protection and “talk through / active listening / hear-thru” functionality to address the problem of hearing loss by minimizing battlefield noises, primarily impulse and vehicle noises, while simultaneously enhancing hearing (bionic ears) and radio communications to deliver a tactical advantage.

The Threat4TM System is comprised of two types of headgear and a third traditional communications audio interface which meet TCAPS’ two classes and various environmental conditions, namely moderate noise for infantry in wheeled vehicles and high noise environments stemming from rotary and tracked vehicles.
